ISBN or ISSN numbers (Books or Magazines)

For books & magazines, we recommend that you get an ISBN or ISSN number from the NZ National Library for free (ISBN numbers are needed for books & ISSN numbers are needed for magazines). We can't provide you with these numbers.

After you have your number, come back to us & we will use your number to create a barcode image for your book or magazine (you do not have to purchase a separate barcode number). We will email the image to you in several formats (including .jpeg, .pdf & .eps). You can then incorporate the barcode into the artwork for your book or magazine (or else print it onto sticky labels). Take a look at our sample images.

ISBN (International Standard Book Numbers) and ISSN (International Standard Serial Number) are a unique identifier assigned to each edition of every published book, book-like product, magazine and serial.

Once you have the number, contact us or order online and we can provide the correct artwork to print on your magazine or book.
