Ordering Process

This page outlines the steps to take to order & pay using your credit card (or debit card) via Paymate (a secure online transaction form). You do not have to register with Paymate to use it. Paymate accepts Visa & MasterCard.

If you want to pay by direct deposit instead, please email us for our NZ bank account details.

1. Click on 'Pay Now'

Click on either the Pay Now or Add to Cart button to the right of the item that you want.

The 'Buy Now' button will direct you straight to the Paymate payment page.

The 'Add to Cart' button will direct you to your PayMate shopping cart & give you the option of whether to 'Continue Shopping' or 'Proceed to Checkout'. Click 'Proceed to Checkout' to be taken straight to the PayPal payment page.

2. Pay by Credit Card

You need to fill in the payment form with your personal & credit card details - this includes your card number & expiration date, and your full name, address, phone number & email address. After that, check the Terms & Conditions box & click on 'Submit Payment'. Paymate will then debit your credit card with your online authorisation (all your details are held securely).

3. You will Receive a Payment Receipt

Paymate will send you a receipt for payment (via email). It will also email your order details to us.

If you are ordering ISBN or ISSN barcode images (for books or magazines), please email your ISBN or ISSN number to us. We use your number to create your barcode images. If don't have one yet, get your ISBN or ISSN number from the National Library & then email it to us.

4. You will Receive your Barcode by Email

You will receive your barcode order by email shortly after your order & payment is received by our team. We usually complete orders within hours of receiving them (on rare occasions it may take us a bit longer, between 1-3 business days).

Your email will include your barcode number & invoice (along with your images & guarantee, if you ordered these too).

Your barcode images will be attached to the email in several formats (.jpeg, .eps, .pdf, .tiff & .bmp).

You can Start using your Barcode

As soon as you receive your barcode you can start using it straight away. You can either choose your preferred format (.jpeg, .eps, .pdf, .tiff, or .bmp) & insert the barcode image into the artwork for your packaging (or magazine/book cover). Alternatively you can print the barcode image onto sticky labels.

When a retailer first receives your product, they either scan the barcode or type the number into their system, & also enter your product details, price, reordering info etc. After this, when they scan your barcode, your product information appears on their screen.

If you are selling your product on Amazon, all you will need to do is type in your barcode number when you are listing your product on their site (requiring barcode numbers for products is simply a way for Amazon to keep a record of your product on their website, you will not need to put the barcode onto the actual product itself).

If you are unsure about what you need to purchase, you may want to read our ordering help page.

If you have any questions about your order, or if you need your barcode quickly, email us.
